Machu Picchu has 42 fauna species unique in world [English]
In Machupicchu’s Sanctuary, located in the province from Urubamba in Cusco, there are 42 fauna species unique in its kind in the world, according biologists to researchers.
Among these varieties include, for example, among the birds types, the “Real Cucarachero” among rodents the “Lestoros Inca” and a reptiles group, a kind of poisonous snake resembling “Botros andianus” better known as the population as “Marianito”.
Among the mammals groups include spectacled bears. It is known also that about animal species 528, 423 are birds.
So Machupicchu´s Sanctuary, in its 32 500 hectares, not only shelter the remains of Inca architecture, it is owner of 2 354 flora species, among which orchids and native plants as Intimpa the llama llama and Aliso, grown for reforestation to recover the system affected by forest fires in previous years.
