Cusco: Ombligo del Mundo. [Español]
Cusco Noche
Cusco, capital histórica del Perú prehispánico. El topónimo de la ciudad es el quechua Qusqu o Qosqo. La tradición afirma que significa centro, cinturón, ombligo. De nuevo, según la mitología inca, en ella confluían el mundo de abajo (Uku Pacha) con el mundo visible (Kay Pacha) y el mundo superior (Hanan Pacha). No es casualidad entonces que Cusco fue y es llamada el ombligo del mundo.
